RESEARCH YOUR KILTS. Do not–I repeat DO NOT–wear a Pictish battle kilt for ANY formal events. (For reference, a Pictish battle kilt goes from the tip of the hip bone to the tip of the foreskin.) Royals have Views on such things. And champions. Champions with with very large, very shiny, very sharp swords. That one proved both uncomfortable and exciting! One really doesn’t understand how terrifying a weapon a sword is until one is at the wrong end of a full yard of razor-sharp steel being held by an expert with an excuse to use said steel against you.
My preference? A Germanic shepherd’s kilt. Knee-length, solid color, warm in the winter (when worn with hose) and you get a nice breeze in you in the summer.
My haircuts for the past few decades has been limited to trimming the split ends as well as cleaning up the traitors from brushes combs floors and the shower drain.
Good thing you can’t even go out to any ren fairs 😉
Long as they leave his codpiece in place.
Worried about getting pantsed at the ren fair? Wear a kilt!
That could prove either rather uncomfortable or really exciting.

I am in the mullet pupa stage as well… with a bald spot in the middle… it’s not attractive.
I got a haircut just as this whole thing started. And I can honestly say I’m *glad* nobody’s going to see me for two weeks. This new cut did NOT work.
