I stumbled on to this site from writing a research paper. It's been a well enjoyed distraction going through all of your comics. This has been my favorite. Brilliant site, writing, and art. Thanks!
"Afterbirth"! Haha! Even cute kids look like mutants as newborns, though (except to their parents). For unknown reasons, a relative still has a framed photo of her oldest child as a newborn on display in her kitchen; it's an excellent appetite-suppressant!
Narrator: Can parents objectively judge the attractiveness of their children?
Bug: How’s daddy’s pretty princess doing?
Baby Bug: *Snort*
—
Narrator: I know most parents are blinded by their own bias.
Bug: Isn’t she adorable
Friend Bug: That’s your kid? I thought that was a picture of the afterbirth.
—
Narrator: But surely Some parents must be aware that they created a little abomination.
Bug: Let us never combine our DNA again.
Lady Bug: Agreed.
—
Narrator: Worse yet: Cuteness peaks at childhood. It’s only gonna get uglier.
Bug: That “Ugly Duckling” story is total horse ****.
Genetics: it's like an experiment… only more experimental
and no rules!
And no control group or abort capabilities (for the most part), particularly afterward.
I know. My parents had a hella time trying to rid themselves of ME.
D=
SICK!!
These are some awesome comics. Good job.
totally explains most of my friends

I've always been good at distracting people from learning things.
Didn't distract me. I was already distracted. :3
Hey, do you happen to know the creator of Cyanide&Happieness? Those guys led me to this site. ;D
I stumbled on this page too. Now it's bookmarked. 😀
This is all unfortunately true.

Yup added to my favorites!
This reminds me of a great Mr George Carlin's stand up: "First
of all, they're [children] not all cute. In fact, if you look at 'em real close, most
of them are rather unpleasant looking."
I think the little one in the first panel is kind of adorable. D:
I was told that when I was born, I pissed on the nurse. I was also confused with a slightly deformed, newborn puppy. Cheers
I would rate ugly bug as a two, meaning it could tear the roofs off of frame houses and can be used to cut gypsum.
Obscure jokes aside, I think the ugly bug in the last panel is the most realistic thing in this webcomic.
