Not to be a nitpicking ho, but is there supposed to be a period after “that” in the fourth panel? It reads like a run-on.
Other than that, I like it. 😀 The second panel reminds me of my middle school math teacher. As far back as I can remember, though, we never had a lunchman. Ever. It was always lunchladies with ineffective hairnets.
you’re referring to the Oxford Comma. In common use in USA but not so much in UK, so you’ll get varying opinions as to whether there should be one or not.
It would be an “Oxford Comma” if it were there, and it’s use isn’t a matter of new vs old style, it’s a matter of preference and medium. imo, it’s helpful for clarity’s sake.
“Once more unto the breach” made me chuckle. I used to recite “Do not go gentle into that good night” before a difficult test, and my friend would do Faramir’s whole speech from LotR. (“A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises…”)
OMG! The little gym uniforms! Oh man, does that take me back. And yes, I was one of the little guys who hated dodgeball. What sadist came up with that “game”?
“If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball”. Ah…good times, good times. So glad it’s not me going back to school. It’s my grandkids.
Wow that is exactly how I felt when going back to school. I have to say I loved dodge ball. Won every time. Dance is wonderful for learning how to dodge.
I loved dodgeball. Odd, since I was considered primarily one of those nerds. However I had good hands so woe unto the unprepared jocks. Ha! You’re out!
Sigh. On the first day of school this year, I found out that, of the five people I hang out with, the one I shared two subjects with was in now in different groups for both, the one I shared another one with had dropped it, and the other three had left school entirely.
id like to say that the english teacher is nicer because he/she bet that bug wouldent choke on his stupidity… but you cant be nice if you take a bet like that
Nice. and first.
Nobody cares that you were first. NObody! None. Zilch. Zip. Nada. N-O O-N-E.
I care. Was gunna name mah firstborn son Ichiro, but now I think I’ll name ‘im moose in honor of this most glorious firsting!
Idiots like you need to go back to youtube.
Maoman, you should be nicer to moose, who sacrificed themself so that everyone else may say something useful in their comments.

And perhaps a comma after “dodgeballs”? Sorry, Adam. >.<
Actually, the comma after “dodgeballs” is optional. It’s called an oxford comma.
No comma after dodgeballs because the word “and” is there. And I like to call the lunchlords 🙂
I think that rule only applies with news style writing. Regular written lists still have commas before the “and,” as far as I know.

You’re right about the period after “that.” Man, this has not been my finest week. Admittedly, I’ve been a bit distracted.
Isn’t it mandatory for artists and writers to be distracted?
And besides, we love Bug with or without minute grammatical errors. Then we get to read it and scour the text for problems. 🙂
On an unrelated note, the spacebar on this keyboard squeaks when it gets pushed. While humorous, it’s kind of annoying.
The cafeteria always did seem to have the most gourmet chefs..
You are ridiculously funny! You make me laugh every day!
Don’t know how much money you’re making with Bug, but you should make a lot more!
Haha… the return of the cynical Teacher Bug. Brilliant stuff! 🙂
Haha, great. Especially the unecxpectedness of the end of Nerdbug’s sentence in the last panel.
“Once more unto the breach” made me chuckle. I used to recite “Do not go gentle into that good night” before a difficult test, and my friend would do Faramir’s whole speech from LotR. (“A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises…”)
Am I the only one that heard Ms. Bitters voice while reading panel two? 😀
Nope, I did too, my friend. I did too.
I love the size of the cafeteria bug. We can see where the extra manwhiches go!

24TH!!!!
The giant backpack, the teacher’s hair in a bun, the cafeteria bug’s belly shape, the reeking of machismo, the sheer greatness of this cartoon.
Books! I need books to give at Christmas!
Sigh. On the first day of school this year, I found out that, of the five people I hang out with, the one I shared two subjects with was in now in different groups for both, the one I shared another one with had dropped it, and the other three had left school entirely.
Wish I reeked of machismo…
My Manwich!
Man, that first panel. I know how he feels.

Hmm, teacherbug looks almost like Ms. Bitters. I approve 😀
Lmao
Ha! Deluded kid-nerd! So cute!
