I’m a 34 YO woman and I want to yell at kids to get off my lawn (or at least guys to stop having a conversation on the stoop – I need my sleep!) So don’t say your ‘old enough’ 🙂
And while toys are cool, I gravitate towards the stationary aisle. All those blank notebooks and felt tip pens just waiting for me to buy and never use! I’m sorry, is that my drool from the paper or yours from the toys?
I always find myself going and seeing if they have any new Transformers … they were always my favorite as a kid and the quality seems so much better now (in some ways) and even if it’s just like “Oh, cool!” I can’t not go and look.
I think the saying is “Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.” I feel that way every time I watch Cartoon Network or anime or go crazy over the latest video games.
I finally did it! I Just read the whole archive in about five days. So far this is the only webcomic that could motivate me to such an extent, the humor really blows me away almost every time.
I would never pretend to understand the automotive aisle. I simply get the wiper blades or air freshener that I need, then head down to the toy area. No shame here.
yesterday the boy got home from work exhausted but we had to run to the store, he really wanted us to hurry so he could take a nap, but we still had to check the my little ponies and nerf guns before getting our groceries. Even worse? we didn’t buy anything
What I love about being an adult; Being able to listen to the teens in there saying, “I can buy one of these in a few weeks if I save up enough…” and, when the clerk asks if he can help me, I say, “I’ll take a dozen of these!”
I know there’s no resisting it. No matter what I’m there for, I always do it really fast, then go to the electronics, then the toys.
I’m a guy old enough to yell kids off my lawn but my eyes….. They hover a tad bit too long on the toy aisle.
I don’t regret it one bit.

Whoops, *you’re* old enough… Yeah, I’m not tired.

Another one is “Age is natural, maturity is optional”

Awesome! Glad you dig the comic.
Pssh who WOULDN’T?! Best comic online.
You have described me perfectly in this comic.

You talked about this on one of your early Pod casts. It was either you or Matt that said you were a “drive by shopper” when it came to the toy isle.
I don’t wanna grow up
I’m a Toys R Us kid
Wondering when someone would complete that.
infests…because he’s a bug…
:mind blown:
Gravitating to the toy aisle, sounds like adult me… (I’m a tween)
Yep, the Hot Wheels and the Star Wars Lego sets always get me. Even when I’m there to get one thing located right up front.
Adulthood is a lie! Spread the word!

More importantly, why isn’t there a Tron Lego set?
Think about it this way:
Their argument: You’re an adult! Why do you still play with toys?
Your response: I’m an adult! Why do I gave to justify anything to you?
*have to justify
