This is a great idea. I saw a video once of college football players trying to keep up with four-year-olds, and the little kids were still going when the football players were lying on the ground begging for mercy. Kids that age have two speeds: All Ahead Full and Conked Out Asleep.
Something tells me this strip was inspired by the unending amount of insane 4 year old chaos that you were forced to endure at mom and dad’s on Sunday. Yes? 🙂

Man I *totally* lost it at “juice boxes” !
A few candy bars is WAY cheaper than a tank full of gas.
If anyone made 6-foot hamster wheels, I’d buy two for my kids right away.
And I’d give one to my sister for her dog. All said here also applies to him.
They do exist. A particular park I frequented as a kid has two of them; the real challenge was keeping up with the wheel once it got up to speed.
Not until I became a parent did I realize why my parents always wanted to sit down.
You forgot a speed

Great comic!
I’ve always wondered how to use my 5-year-old as an alternate power source for the home. Science get on this!
If you could rewire pedometers to charge batteries we could at least have a mobile mobile charger.
…except, you have to actually CATCH your charger to switch out the battery.
It think no one realizes there are giant human-sized hamster *balls*…

…possibly.
I’ve always thought the same thing for Springer Spaniels and other energetic dogs… With my last dog, Wysiwyg, you could have powered NYC for years.
You could supercharge them during peak demand with coffee.
I love, and appreciate, how often you update this comic.
Thanks!
Agreed! When I get money I’ll totally donate. I promise.
Juice boxes are totally worth it.
Using children as power sources? Hold on, I think I’ve seen that movie…
