I’m 6’4″, my wife is 5’2″ (she claims 3 but we both know the truth). Luckily, we own our home so no security deposit. Still, I hope she never sees this.
ASK your shorter girlfriend if she would be insulted by the gift of a step stool. If she thinks it’s a good idea, you have to find the perfect specimen. It makes it a challenge to find one that she wouldn’t expect.
BTW, I’m 6’5″, and my beloved wife is a foot shorter. Our kids are 5’10” to 6’3″.
That toaster hanging from the socket in the first panel is a nice touch. And as a 5’5″, I have plenty of step stools at home as I don’t have an overtall boyfriend to get that box of wine glass that is tucked at the far corner of the kitchen cabinet for me.
As a short woman (4′ 9-1/2″ in my socks!), I tend to find short jokes THAT I HAVEN’T HEARD BEFORE quite funny, so for me, a step stool as a romantic gift/Trojan Horse short joke would probably be GREAT. (I also like practical romantic gifts, so I may be unusual there.) Saskfan is also right about asking your sweetie and then finding the “right” step stool. (Wheels or no wheels? Bling or no bling? Decisions, decisions!)
LOL, im 6’4 tho… so.. will this count for me even when shes NOT short?
(also, first… maybe)
Rhinestones. The stepstool needs rhinestones.

Indeed, asking her is the way to go.
Assumptions: bad
Research: good

My Mom (5′ 3″) received one of those grabbers for her birthday a few years ago as a joke.
She wore that thing out.
(Mum’s been gone, now, for almost 2 years.) 🙁
Awww, so sorry to hear that…

Just go get a place with shorter cabinets
What’s wrong with giving her a pogo stick? Nothing says romance like a pogo stick!
You. I like you.
5’2.5″ (yes that 0.5″ matters to me!), I climb on counters all the time and my 6′ SO just laughs at me.
Hey, it’s not just girls who are short. And I’d love a step stool, thank you very much!
The love of my life for these last three years is only 4’9; She would beat me silly with the stool and then leave us both on the curb.
