ya… no kidding. the biggest hole I have ever made was at the beach. and while that hole was big, it was not big enough to have a fort. (I could stand in it and have my head poking out of it)
Joke all you want, but a movie about a young child who dreams of archaeology stumbling upon an ancient coty full of Nazi Morlocks under his yard and having to make his way home? If he has an adorable dog who accompanies him on his adventures, that film is a guaranteed smash hit!
Noncommittal gophers, I love it!. Seriously though where can I get some, the committed gophers are tearing up the lawn at my work….. And have you tried dynamite? it makes archeology and digging a LOT more fun.
this reminds me of the time me & my little bro watched cool hand luke (30+years ago) and immediately went out and cleared the back yard road gang style, pretty sure mums still in shock (she still buys loads of eggs)

City*. I hate typing on mobile.
I’d watch it.
Someone, make a kickstarter…
This is a similar movie to the one you describe. Not EXACTLY the same, but similar. Early Don Johnson.

Jesus, Floyd. Not what I was expecting. Boy and dog? check. Family friendly? ehhhh.

I could actually hear the idea for nazi-morlocks being sold for eleven million dollars.
I can already see the SyFy channel making the production cost for “Nazi Morlocks.”
Now that I think about it, I always was a little disappointed as a kid when I dug a big hole at the beach and never found buried treasure.
I love the fedora on the bug, by the way.
I love it! That first panel is pretty epic. He’s all “ADVENTURE BUG!”
I’ve spent all day digging out sod for a patio extension. This comic speaks to me.

You never discovered the remains of ancient Coldonesdry?
