Make a note people. When your brother is a mad scientist, don’t do anything in his room filled with dangerous experiments.
Still, at least he didn’t trigger the death ray.
Okay. That last panel is a brilliant take on the entire Tesla/Edison “which is more dangerous AC or DC ” thing. I mean, I’m assuming that 90% of your readership got it … but just to help out the other 10%: Tesla, and Westinghouse, promoted an electrical grid based on alternating current; Edison promoted an electrical grid based on direct current.
In order to get public opinion on his side, Edison started a campaign of killing animals with alternating current, to make AC look more dangerous than DC. And even secretly funded the development of the electric chair, using AC.
Pretty much spot on WRT Edison then and now. Since GE is again a major sponsor to the Smithsonian, Tesla has once again disappeared from its display halls.
Just a small correction, Edison never promoted a power grid since there was not as much potential profit in that. He promoted a DC generator in every home running on coal gas. Coal gas at the time was the default high tech lighting system. He spent a lot of money and favors on hushing up the fires, electrocutions and asphyxiation death that resulted from his generators and their placement in basements.
Damnit, I was going to make an Electric Boogieloo joke until I noticed the title. Strange minds think alike, I guess.
Or, small reference pools?
I still think it should have been Electric Bugaloo.
I almost went with that.
White titles! My mind can’t handle this!
And black text on black background above the comic. Methinks someone’s CSS broke.
Nope. I’m just mucking around with the site, trying to make it look better. It’s kinda trial and error.

How are we supposed to accidentally get superpowers, then?
Radioactive vermin?

Which is why this is so brilliant.

So…you’re saying Tesla invented the…BUG zapper?
More likely Edison since the zappers operate on a DC potential between the grids of wires. Do not look up Bug Zapper Scattering .. {shudder}
Haha!
Aww… that’s better than how his brother actually died from a horse-riding accident when he was 12.
I thought his older brother died in a train accident at 18?
Nope, you’re right. I don’t know where I got the train story.
I guess he didn’t rock down to Electric Avenue
Guess you could say Randy was quite the jitter bug…
Yeah, but look at him now–he’s just a litter bug.
Ba-tish!
