I bought a house a couple of years ago (first one, go me!) and it has a WICKED slope in the back yard. As in, flat up top, slope, more flat. I cannot WAIT for my daughter to be old enough so that I can have an excuse to rig up an awesome slip 'n slide/kiddie pool splashdown and ride the hell out of it! Of course, by the time I'm done with it, it will be less slip 'n slide and more water slide. Although, you are right about the whole injury thing…
I noticed that one of the bug's antennae is bandaged in the third panel. So are they really sense organs then, or are they hair as you established before? You're not really consistent in your portrayals. Then again, female bugs seem to have both hair AND antennae…
I know you aren't being 100% serious, but I think that there is no consistent "correctness" to these bugs. They are just how the author sees humanity (I believe he said that once, don't quote me on it x.x) so the antennae aren't necessarily organs or hair, just there to serve whatever purpose the humour needs in that particular comic.
ok, first off, i didn't get the chance to comment on the bug butler comic, and that was genius! I laughed so hard i think i brused rib. The sub-par butler wearing a tuxedo T-shirt was hilarious! And being from Texas and everything, the fact that only the rich rich bug could afford the Dallas Cowboys? Loved it, loved it, loved it.
As far as todays comic goes, well, your new terrorist bug had me cracking up. I really loved how all you gave him was the gun and the head wrap to define his character. Here I'm thinking " what if he get's disarmed? will he just be a bug in a head wrap? " absolutly hilarious.
I think that my wife are I are subconsciously avoiding having children because we're afraid of getting killed by their toys. We bought our house two years ago and it sits on 3 acres of hills and woods. As a kid I would have loved it, but now it just scares the crap out of me. The main hill is about 100 yards long and drops at about 30 degree angle.
So is it a bandage that's on bug's antenna or is it a cast? I took it to be a body cast, an arm cast and a cast on the antenna, which I found to be absolutely hilarious.
Of course I could be seeing them as casts since I've currently got one right now, thus I'm biased. 🙂
I love the way you compare the slip n' slide to torture…which it basically is. I think I'd rather ride a canoe down a mountain…at least then I would have the protection of a canoe under my butt unlike my one and only experience with a slip n' slide.
Haha, reminds me of softball camp. At the end of every session, the instructors set up a giant tarp in the outfield, covered it with water and had a hose running to it to keep the water flowing, and put tons of bubble soap. It. was. amazing! far better than a slip 'n slide. Plus, once we managed to convince the instructors, who college age guys and girls and in softball uniforms, to go on it. By that time, there was a sizable mud puddle at the end. Hilarious.
Silly rabbit, Slip n slides are for kids. (they actually paralyze adults pretty often, just ask a national treasurer for a fraternity, they will loose it when you say “how about a SnS party?)
Wonderful. I feel the same way about slip 'n slides, except that my brakes were usually my dog's tail.
Also, love the fine art of Bug-universe.
Geez, Nerdbug is such an ass.
or death~! hahaha~!!!
"Is there a third option?"
Brilliant.

Ummm….Death by slip 'n' slide?
"Is there a second option?" Would've been better, imo.
You know, I've never actually been on a slip'n'slide…
2nd panel wins again! 🙂
Totally loving the bugcasso (picasbug?) painting!
Ah you see I prefer the hip-bone method of braking…
Damn prominent hip bones….

Okay, I'm WAY over-analyzing this. Good bye.

The antennae are whatever I need them to be.

kinda forgot to add this, but i'm totally with you on the 2nd panel, i've only rode a sllip n slide ONCE and that was enough for me!
is that a krazy kat bug in the first panel? brilliant!
No, but thanks. It's nice to hear my character mentioned in the same sentence as George Herriman's Krazy Kat.
I like the non sequitur of that first panel.

Slip 'N Slides + Alcohol = the leading cause of my adult injuries… Haha Those things suck!!!
Um, death, please — no, Slip 'n Slide, Slip 'n Slide, sorry!
We're missing the obvious here…You were at an art museum thinking about… slip'n slides. Talk about free association thinking.
here is someone thinking along the same lines as me.
Is that an original Pablo Bugcasso in the first panel? lol Another great one today!

When I was younger my legs would always hit the tops of the stakes that have the slide anchored into the ground and it hurt like hell.
Also, is that an adult bug in panel 2 playing with a child?
I hated those things. There was ALWAYS a rock hidden underneath them somewhere.
lol the third panel is the best XD
Ah! The Slip-n-slide is truly an agonizing death within the art of 3:24.
4th panel:
Terrorist: Slip 'N Slide or death!
Bug: You first.
For a bit, I though he said: Slip 'N Slide of Death!
Yes, there was a third option, but I ate the last cake.
*chanting* Slip-n-Slide or death! Slip-n-Slide or death!

Thankyou for cubist bug in the first panel. It's a masterpiece!
Did he break his Hawaiian joint in the 3rd panel?

this fr had me crying.
