I can see a Randall Monroe “What If” physics question related to fireworks in your strip. It would be great to see a crossover that included Sumerian mathematics…
I don’t get the female bug in the last panel, in my experience it takes an all male setup to execute important missions like “Fart of the century” – women are far too brainy for that sort of missions..
I have sisters – evil evil sisters – they don’t do the stupid dangerous stuff themselves, they get someone else to do that for them. They just facilitate and make videos.
I admit it, Adam; I wouldn’t usuall think to come to Bug Martini for safety advice. But XKCD is the previous comic in my list, which made me smile a bit. Timing is everything! Especially when you have a firecracker up your butt.
You’re right, that does sound familiar! I checked if you shoved a firecracker up Bug’s butt in past Fourth of July comics, and for some reason this seems to be the only comic with such a dumb move in it!
Well, if Adam hasn’t drawn a previous Bug with a firecracker up his butt, it must seem familiar because Adam’s done it himself. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised. And Adam’s kind of girlfriend would probably help.
I think ur right; from another 4th o July strip

That’s sexist. 😉
What you YOU mean, ‘you people’?!
We’re brainy AND plot fart missions! We’re the whole package, guys!

Well, the xkcd for the fourth doesn’t seem to be up yet, so I’ll assume that you’re right about the Sumerian mathematics.
“Nope, just a graph joke. What is this, SMBC? Jeez”

Oddly enough, it’s about bug bites.
Fun fact: bug is second in my list of comics, right after xkcd.
Fun fact: Bug Comic and XKCD, in that order, are the last two comics in my list. It’s like a sweet dessert.
Questionable Content separates Bug from XKCD.
Yup Bug, QC, XKCD are my top 3 as well
While my list is 35 entries long. …I have a problem.
For another view on the same subject check out The Flying McCoys on gocomics.com.
Coincidentally, today’s XKCD involves bugs, specifically mosquito bites.

Not there either, but I would have thought that “Cyanide And Happiness” would be more likely to run a firecracker up the butt strip than “XKCD.”
That said, “Operation: Fart Of The Century” was the best laugh I’ve had all day.
Well actually, The Oatmeal has his advisory but it’s mostly for the pets, not human survival.
This XKCD strip becomes 10,000 times better if you imagine their talking about Bug Martini

July 3, 2013: Bug has a lit rocket in his butt. I AM THE KING OF USELESS FACTS.
Ha! She’s right! I KNEW I drew that before. Well remembered!
Haha, love the reference! The only two web comics in my bookmark bar are Bug Martini (1st, of course) and xkcd.
