“Flabby, virus-hidden husk”? You sound like you are from Solaria. (Hmm, you also seem adverse to meeting other humans… but a Solarian couldn’t catch a cold without being killed by it.)
The problem here is not with the Flabby Virus-Prone Husk but with way to simple robotic body. Human body is simply way to complex, for us not to feel when changing into anything else as downgrading. Especially when you consider that an ant has computing power comperabe to a server room.

Have you ever heard of Moore’s Law? Even if we can’t match humans with machines now, we will be able to soon, probably within the lives of this generation.
People have been predicting that since the start of the industrial revolution, but every time we turn around, we discover that we are even more complex than we thought. I’m not sure our technology will ever actually catch up with nature.
I think he’s had enough cough syrup already.

That’s his shiny metal ass.

Well Nature does have a million year head start. On the other hand, work on my mechanical zombie army is going great.
Feels more like a Chris Pratt movie. Or possibly Chris Evans. But not Chris Helmsworth (he knows why).
Someone’s been reading “Lock In”, huh? If not, you think a lot like Scalzi.
Came here to make LOCK IN comment, found it already made.
So, yeah. It’s a good book. By John Scalzi.
