Universal Studios Monsters [tm] does limit the list by quite a bit.
So it will be a short list because I won’t list the sons, daughters, cousins and their pets.
Dracula
Wolfman
The Mummy
Phantom of the Opera
The Invisible man
The Black Cat
Beetlejuice
Yep. The Universal powers that were hated the script, said so in no uncertain terms, and sold it off. Or so Wikipedia tells me. Not a Universal movie, anyway.
I did think for a moment you discarded the idea of comics on specific niche monsters. I wasn’t sure how I felt about that, but then I noticed the capitals…
I was disappointed by ‘Bride Of Frankenstein’. It had the same problem as ‘How I Met Your Mother’ – SO much buildup to the arrival of the Bride, then she’s got maybe 5 minutes of screen time…
What’s weird is that Brewster Rockit just did a Frankenstein Week… in SPAAAAACE. Is this the collective subconscious at work or did you read them, Adam?
Ooh, makes me wonder what Monster will be next! Probably not zombies, or sparkly vampires… Maybe an incubus?
Bugzilla!
The Creature from the Black Lagoon?

Wait, isn’t Beetlejuice a Warner Bros movie?

Ceremonies are overrated. In certain regions, all you need is a legally-approved certificate and BAM! Holy matrimony.
And I think a pair of artificial humans immune to pain and cold would be able to intimidate the legals involved.
They are not artificial humans. They are overhauled.
Reduce, reuse, recycle!
Little known fact. Frankenstein was made out of people who died in a parcheesi game that got out of hand.
Nobody recognizes my references, but when -I- recognize a reference I am WAY too eager to point it out.

They did try to get married, but the ceremony fell apart when it came time to light the unity candle.
Curse you, lack of edit function!
Also, of course they got married, they were made for each other.
Rimshot.

Ah, but Elsa Lachester played both Dr Frankenstein’s fiancée and the monster. That was unheard of in those days. Pretty girls played ingenues, not monsters.
Maybe it was the common-law bride of Frankenstein?
Oh, man, the Hokey Pokey at this wedding would be great–they could put a bunch of body parts in, then take them out… shake ’em all about…

Every so often I see two cartoonists do the same bizarre theme at the same time. It’s weird how that happens.
