Now I’m looking forward to Wednesday’s strip, not for the usual random nonsense, but just to see whether the continuation is an “I don’t know how I’m going to react to this” or actually getting to the point that was started.
I googled JD Power and their website gives me a General Data Protection Regulation notice that informs me that it is unavailable in most European countries. So, move to Europe and no more JD Power.
I have bought a number of new cars over my 4 decades of driving, and only once have I been surveyed, and it wasn’t by JD Powers. I was brought in to evaluate a new Buick or something, brand new series about to be released to the market. They made a statement about it being a maintenance-free engine and I choked a laugh. Moderator asked why I did that, and I replied that I don’t believe that statement. Another person said I have one of those engines and it’s been trouble-free, another person said I have one of those engines and it’s been nothing but a nightmare. I said I rest my case.
as EU resident I have no idea what is JD Power, so i googled “jd power award” and got link to jdpower.com that shows me just warning that content is not available in EU
JD Power is a company that was founded by JD Power to do market research for automakers. They run several surveys of car buyers to determine how satisfied they are with their car when they first buy it and how satisfied they are a few years down the road. Automakers pay to use the name in their ads and pay to have access to the market research data.

Ironically, this comic was just selected for the JD Power Award for webcomics.

In the third panel, the word is “infanticide“.
For some reason, baby slaughter sounds a lot funnier in my head.
Or, to link Bug itself…

With some colorful alternatives as a bonus.

That’s funny. Because they make it sound like a really prestigious award to receive from them.
Of course they do. Otherwise, why would anyone pay them?
