One odd thing about threats to ones ass is that ones ass (at least the muscley cheek bits) are probably one of the body parts least easily damaged by kicking.
Not just kicking, either. The ass is actually the most damage-resistant part of the human body. There’s a reason getting shot in the ass is something most soldiers would give a million dollars for.
that is kind of a true statement. after all, the word “Ass” and its variations are being shoved everywhere between an insult or two
kick ass-statement.
But you forget all the threats to shove things, from the bizarre to the physically impossible, but the threatee’s butt.
(I love your comic and really look forward to it every MWF!)
Most shove responses are suggestions that you yourself perform the shoving. So less of a threat and more of unwanted advice.
I always go with a rake. It’s a good visual image.
“Keep talking like that and I’m gonna hand you your ass!”
“No my friend. It is you who shall receive his ass.”
I love how Bug is having the bejeezus beaten out of him by Glasses Bug all the time. 😛

Isn’t that somewhere close on the scale with “Please saw my legs off”?
I’m trying to look for the Bug Martini comic that coined (or referenced) the term “Louisiana Handshake”, does anyone remember?
Is this the one your are looking for?https://www.bugmartini.com/comic/fightin-words/
I don’t, but now I want to. If you find it, share please!
Here it is! https://www.bugmartini.com/comic/fightin-words/
Adam says in the commentary that ‘Kentucky Handshake’ was originally ‘Louisiana Handshake’, except that that’s already a thing.
