Tall Tale Radio Interview
“Yes, he can draw silly bugs,” you ask “Â but how is he at babbling incoherently?”
I’m proud to say that my abilites to babble incoherently have never been sharper. Don’t believe me? Have a listen to my interview with Tom Racine from Tall Tale Radio and find out for yourself:

I was happy that someone linked to your strip about the ugly kids and I'm not subscribed via bloglines. I really like your simple style. And yes, I did notice that the girl bug is simply the guy bug with a wig. In fact I like the fact that her wig is simply two scrolls on each side of her head.
Liked the interview. I also am amazed at how much expression you can put into the square faces. My favorites are Morning Me 05/07/10 & Getting Up For Work 05/21/10. Not that there is a theme going, but …
Yeah, Bug couldn't be done syndicated (Game Shows 05/17/10 &Not So Sexy 05/19/10), but that's part of what makes it relevant to adults, instead of toddler tripe.
Re: Having a hard time coming up with ideas occasionally: How about allowing fans to submit ideas (with a disclaimer that they are not owed any form of remuneration)? Even if they only came up with 4 variations on a base idea, you would still find words and art to make it funny.
Impressed that you do your own lettering, as well as the art. Now if you only sold the original art *with* frames (raise the price to cover it), I would be a sucker to purchase. I'm just to lazy to go to a frame store for that unique size. But with your art all being sized alike, you could probably cut a deal with a frame shop. 😀
Thanks.
I thought about asking folks on Twitter if they had any topics they'd like me to play around with for the next days comic.
Never thought about selling framed originals. I'll have to consider that.
Sweetie… great interview! Just like our conversations… all over the place! Never sell your self short! I just think back to your earlier work.. I am so lucky I own some of the earlier … works.. of Adam… hmmm.. wonder what the highest bidder … would get me?
Just kidding.. I am happy for you! I love so see BUG evolve!
Wonderful strip, totally agree re framed strip. I'm too lazy to purchase a frame and cardboard backing or whatever it takes. I'd love to gift the framed strip as a gift too!
After seeing scotts post on FB I went and listened to the radio interview, and it strikes me, every time I think about what you are doing, and most people don't have the balls to do it, so congrats, and big props to following your dream, ever since we were Bloom County ADDICTS, much love, travel soon to colorado, we have gre…at time, my boys would love to hang on you and play much star wars, peace, J
Great interview! I want to be one of the first to encourage you to keep doing 5 strips a week…. I'm addicted! I visit every day when I'm at work. You rock!
