Adam, it’s amazing to me how you can show “fear” in two inanimate objects like a saw and screwdriver, just by how you draw their “body language”.
And yeah, the pole with shades thing sort of pops out, but if you look at how the hammer handle is tied to the pole . . . it makes total sense.
Not just computers… take a look at @internet_of_shit for all the crap people are shoving badly designed computerlets into, with a network connection. Where this stuff happens for real, in your fridge, tv, toothbrush, weight scale, water bottle, stove, light bulbs, door locks….
And yes, one of them was an internet-connected screwdriver.
Setting fire to misbehaving electronics is a fairly common occurrence around the shop I work at. Sometimes the machines start toeing that line and you gotta set an example.
Just be glad you don’t have to deal with ZombieWare updates. Every time new zombie media comes out, zombies all freeze for a few hours while they update to match the new public image.
is it even possable for a hammer to NOT work? (with out breaking out right of course)…I can only think of a hammer just simply missing…but thats the fault of the user…….
Not sure why I didn’t think of this yesterday, but about two years ago a friend of mine’s wife actually broke both claws off a hammer trying to open a can of paint. I’m not sure how that’s even possible. It still functions as a hammer for hammering things, but… both claws? On a paint can?
speak for yourself, i tolerate none of that crap from my computers. one time, my disk drive failed and i couldn’t get it working again. so i bought a new one and smashed the old one with a hammer in front of it as a warning. good times.
That computer obviously needs a … boot camp!
I’m very jealous that I didn’t think of that one.
Boot to the Head! And another one for Jenny and the Wimp!
I was feeling kind of frantic on wanting to post something but then I read your reply
That burning hammer in the last panel looks like a pole with shades!
…which is a sentence I didn’t expect to ever write.
Was about to say the same exact thing.
Actually I thought it looked like Plank from Ed, Edd and Eddie being burned at the stake… and being very ‘deal with it’ about the whole situation.
I should NOT be on the internet when sleep deprived.
So, a burning hammer… is that a reference to Kenta Kobashi or is it just purely coincidental?

Yes! I’m going to start burning old components in front of my PC as a warning.

I fear for our future as a species.
I am not aware if that show is popular in the U.S. so, Adam, are you aware of “Little Britain” and their “Computer says no”-routine?

of course you would know that
so true….how WOULD a hammer fail anyway?
