STAR TREK NERD ALERT!!!
Aw well, I’m the same way. My wife and I share a love of sci/fi & fantasy, although neither of us is dressing up and going to conventions about it. I think we’d have hit it off just if she wore the maid outfit! I’ma buy her one, see how it goes…
APA (a common scholarly style) uses quotations to set off titles in text (section 4.07). Strunk and White indicates italics are a good default, unless editorial practice dictates otherwise. As Adam is his own editor, quotation marks are thus definitive. I’m sorry, I live a sad and pedantic (but authoritative!) life.
Thinking also of “Everybody Ought To Have a Maid” from “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”…. (Sorry, ninelen, I can’t see how to italicize here either.)
When posting you can use HTML tags to italicize. Use the lesser than-greater than brackets with an i in between, then after you’re done with what you want to put in italics use them again with a forward slash and then an i in between.
55% of the time it works 100% of the time…

I bought my wife a maid outfit. She said it would look too tight on me. I immediately rethought my handcuff idea.
Hilarious as always!
Love the concept and the last panel made me actually lol.
Where can I purchase a subscription to a Gummi Bear magazine? I wants one.
Also, on a grammatical note, magazine titles are italicized, not put into quotation marks. I’m sorry; I can’t help it.
So are movie titles.
Sorrysorrysorry. I’ll go away now.

Strunk and White aren’t an actual authority though, they simply pretended to be.
Like he’ll I’m gonna listen to a guy named “Strunk”.
I know, but italicizing a hand-lettered font is a bit tricky.
I just turn the paper 45 degrees and try to write straight. Works like a charm.
Neal Young, “A Man Needs a Maid”
Make that Neil Young.

Better you read “Auto da Fé” from Elias Canetti before marrying a maid, believe me…
Don’t forget the ‘Seinfeld’ episode where he dates his maid! Things didn’t end well…

Do you obsessively clean your place first before having a maid come over the clean?
He has found true love. 🙂
I’ll want a subscription to Gummy Bear Aficionado
She replaced wrath of khan with Maid in Manhattan
