No idea why THAT tops your list, but I’m with Adam on this one. For hand-washing dishes, the easiest process for me is: Dishes on counter – Fill sink with soap+water – Dishes are washed one at a time. If they’re all in the sink when you start, there’s less maneuverability with large dishes (and I’m in a constant state of “is picking this up going to topple everything” for larger workloads, but that’s more to do with the reduction of available space than anything inherent in the sink itself).
Actually, we have this same fight at my house. Wife: dishes should be in the sink so the counter is clear. Me: how can you use the sink when it has dishes in it?
Objection! – your correction is incorrect as the usage of the word wont by the author is technically correct.
Yes “wont” is a word and is pronounced something like Waaa-unt, depending on your local accent [not including Boston – that’s more messed up than the vowel shift]
WONT – n – a manner or action habitually employed by or associated with someone (often in the phrases as is my wont, as is his wont, etc)
For some reason, I’m reading “He’ll gripe this Ouija also about on a board.”
Me too. The text spacing really screws up the punchline.
Typographers call this “rivers”. Looks like a tough one to avoid with lines this short. Three longer lines would’ve worked:
He’ll also gripe
about this
on a ouija board
But then the drawing would probably need changing too.
New Drawing pen?/technique? The comic looks different today. Still hilarious as always!
Don’t worry I don’t think any of us are that impatient Adam.
Okay, hang on, how is you preferring to put your dirty dishes on the counter the thing I have the most trouble believing in the history of this comic?

Yeah, me too. Dirty dishes belong in the sink where they can soak and where any food residue can be easily washed down the sink.
Actually, we have this same fight at my house. Wife: dishes should be in the sink so the counter is clear. Me: how can you use the sink when it has dishes in it?
What? No! Dirty dishes should be carefully rinsed and then stacked to the side. When you have enough, you can load the dishwasher in a logical order.
Nothing should be in the sink for more than a moment to soak before scrubbing.
A dish with food should NEVER go into the soapy water – that just contaminates other dishes! Sacrilege!!
“She won’t do it’ on panel 3 silly Bug

Technically correct, the best kind of correct.
For me it would be turning off lights randomly throughout the house.
Putting the dirty dishes in the sink blocks the disposal, you savage.
We just use a dishwasher and don’t worry about the sink.
Can I kill Randal Monroe instead of you? I’d like to try this experiment with him instead.
