Actually, I would imagine that being able to admit your own faults is a sign of healthy self-esteem, as long as you don’t get super angsty about it. As amusing as Scuba-Bug is, though, I think my favorite part is how the two sign holders are deliberately befuddling the baffled bug by calling him the name on the other’s sign.
β¦and then the third guy holding a “Dimwit” sign shows up…
I read that not so much as the sign-holders trying to confuse him, as hoping that the other one was supposed to pick him up so that they aren’t trapped in a car with him.
I don’t know if doofus or dipwad is in charge of naming the .png but these untitled.png naming convention is screwing up my own personal bug archive. What was wrong with date and title naming. Get your naming conventions sorted out so I can just click save like I used to. π
The REAL question: two drivers are at the airport. One has a sign that says “Goofus”. The other has a sign reading “Gallant”.
Which driver is there for you? Which driver do you HOPE is there for you?
My answer: Neither is there for me. I have never had anybody send a professional driver to pick me up at the airport. I have to get a friend or family member to do it, or get a cab.

That guy is looking for me, actually.
Or “Dork.”
Yo! Over here! π

Thanks!
PS: Great strip as always
Maybe you’re approaching a counterfeit sign holder. When I saved it to my drive just now it appears with date and title.
I like how the sign-holder is NOT wearing scuba gear . . .
And I, myself, always head towards the guy holding the “SPAZ” sign . . .
I would be looking for the DARTH Spazz sign π
So, what do you drive to the airport to pick up a doofus? A limo with one of those hottubs in the back? A Ford Pinto? A Gremlin? Oh! A Brat!

I once saw a check (remember those) from a person who’s surname was Doofus.
Thinking about this, I now kind of want to go out to the airport and hold a sign reading Doofus just to see if anyone comes over.
My first impulse too!
I now want to go to the airport and hold out a sign that says “Struggling Cartoonist” on it to see if you come over here.
Are you crazy?
We all know that struggling cartoonists can’t afford to fly!
