I remember a sci-fi book set in the near future where April Fools had transmorgrified into “Lawyer Day”. Pranks were only done to lawyers and the pranks escalated in nastiness. Lawyers made themselves very scarce when the date arrived…
Boy it would be really weird if you combined April Fool’s Day with a second major holiday like say… Easter. You could do all sorts of mean Easter themed pranks.
I’m busy pondering why Adam put an unused outlet in panel 4. It’s not like him to provide background. Is he subtly showing how the construction of the orphanage is extremely old and not up to code (the outlet is too close to the edge of the wall and isn’t grounded)?
My thought was that it illustrated the utilitarian character of the building. Bit of a brutalist joke. Also, it’s close to the ground, which I believe is considered a hazard in locations rife with children.
…..man now that I think about it, this is so true. I did not like this holiday before, now I hate it.
what are people who are too busy for a normal life supposed to do when somebody wastes their time? what if somebody has 2 jobs kids and class’s at university? (I have met people like that)
……how are they supposed to deal with the office prankster? …NOT feed their kids dinner while they prank them back?
I guess all they CAN do is just TAKE it…and thats terrible considering how extreme pranks can go sometimes.
What about Saint Patrick’s Day, where if you’re not wearing green people have carte blanche to beat you up?
I think you’re confusing alcohol with legislation.
Orphan Christmas! I like it! Nothing says Christmas like a bindle full of sadness! 😀
