Absolutely! In these days of uncertaintly and miniscule raises, I think Office Hot Lava might be our last resort for a morale boost. My immediate reaction to this comic was to look around the office and plot my paths to the copier and coffee machine. I might see if I can start an impromptu game later in the day.
Make sure you’re not wearing hard soled shoes that can slip and you can end up doing the splits when stepping from desk to desk, don’t ask me how I know.
One of my annoying office mates has a box of lean cuisine in the freezer…and the cube farm has 12-foot high ceilings…and I’m in earlier than anyone else in the office..
When I get fired I’m blaming you. “The bugs made me do it!” sounds like an appropriate outburst as I’m being escorted out.
Play Yanni on a cd or something just loud eough to annoy the people around you but use headphones or earbuds to listen to an ipod so you don’t have to deal with it.
One of my co-workers at the craft shop used to catapult little rubber pumpkins into the office balcony, and sometimes he’d throw pencils at the ceiling point-first to see if they’d stick, but he didn’t get fired– maybe because he had too many dangerous tools close to hand.
I have seen mentions of this comic several times on ink outbreak and I have never clicked it. Today I am stoked that I did, this comic is perfect for me awesome stuff.
Hell, I should get a freaking medal for all the lives I’ve saved by suppressing my baser impulses and not leaving a trail of slaughtered idiots in my wake.
I could do it to. I’m huge and can snap necks easily, (“cackles madly”)
If you replace the bug in the first panel with a pre-teen nerd girl, and replace “work day” with “school day” that would be me.

I think an “office hot lava” game would boost morale!
Then again, I like rope burns so what do I know…?
P.S. Bug with a tie is quite dashing! Almost Mad Men…ish.

I now need to find someone who eats a lot of Lean Cuisine, pick a fight with them, and take revenge in that one really specific way.
Some people don’t appreciate how much willpower takes me to not become homicidal murderer…

We should receive a Restraint Bonus. Right now I should be shining my boss’ bald head with my father’s old shoe shine kit. But I’m not.

I can see bug in panel 3 saying to himself, ‘My work here is done.’
The Few. The Proud. The Unappreciated.
boy, ain’t that the truth! I deliberately do NOT twirl my mouse over my head and make helicopter noises. But do my co-workers care? they don’t care!
OMG! I thought I was the only one who went unappreciated.

I like to draw X-wangs and Tit-Fighters on office post-its…..
Oh god those post-it notes would make a bizarre, if creative, flip book…

I don’t know why, but Panel 3 has me in tears laughing. I think I’ll blame sleep deprivation.
My first read didn’t include the words lean cuisine.

God this insomnia is killing me.
