I help my dad clean businesses after they close and one of the most annoying things to clean up is the ton of leaves left after they trim their plants. So I support plant homicide as well!
What in the ASS is this new site design? I mean, I’m sure you know what you’de doing, but the brightness is blinding and the first/random/last buttons will be sorely missed.
Well, the First and Last buttons, while a minor convenience to have, aren’t super-vital in my opinion, given how easy those strips are to find. Also, there is a Random button, it’s just been repositioned some to the left under the strip. As far as the new buttons themselves go, I like how they change colors when you hover over them, but I wouldn’t mind a default color other than white, at least for the arrows since they’re already on a white field. For the white field itself, I’d say it could maybe be just a little less wide, but I’m on a fairly small screen, so it looking like a solid band of color across the page is really more of an issue on my end. Overall, it might take a little getting used to, but I don’t see anything wrong with the new look. One thing I have noticed is that if you zoom the page out, the “Follow Me On…” button jumps down the page under the comment section. Might just be something with Safari though.
I’m on Firefox on Android phone over here and I can’t confirm anything relocating while zooming. When you zoom there’s a point where the page itself is a bit jumpy, which indicates elements trying to relocate, but I didn’t notice anything so far.
As I can’t hover on a touch screen I can’t notice that color change – but I don’t like that much that they keep their changed color after I poked them: When you are on the last page and click “next” the arrow will become orange (or whatever that color is called) and stays that way.
Quite the site change! Before I even started reading the comic I was startled by the change of green to a lighter, brighter shade. Then I was confronted with the giant white field holding the black-and-white comic, which seemed much smaller than usual – maybe due to the size of the white screen. Might I suggest changing the gigantic white field to a darker green like the field containing the off-site links at the bottom of the page?
Another feature that has changed immensely is the “Comment” section. I originally couldn’t find it, but eventually did. And the reason for that was that it was not as obvious as it used to be…possibly due to the size of the font. When I did find it, I noticed right away that the font seems to be smaller…maybe 8-pt or 10-pt. Again a request: please change the default font size in the comments to 12-pt for us old doofuses who have a hard time reading such a small print without using the magnifier.
One last point: the links. I noticed the presumable Youtube link. Is this something coming soon? Currently it links to Twitter. I am not a Twit, a Twitcher, or a Facebookaphile, but I do like Youtube and hope that that is something in Bug’s future!
Sadly, they’re not the only things that are unlucky enough to be socially acceptabe to kill.
Bovines, swine, fowel, all bugs, pretty much everything that comes out of the ocean, and in some places, dogs, cats, rats, and squamates have a “socially acceptable to kill” target on them.
But plants don’t put up a fight or have brains, so they’re still perfect targets.
I’m not good with wood chippers after Rumble in the Bronx.
I like that giving away chopped off dead sexual organs of other life forms is a romantic symbol for humans.
Hehe… “romantic”. Obvious.
Not with plants. It was fish. Still hilarious

First noticed the new site design on my mobile; a mobile browser is not conducive to details, hence my missing the relocated random button.

Oh, and: With all the buttons white, just the “buy this comic” being red, this may make Adam’s intention overly clear.
BUY THIS COMIC!
The comment page with more-or-less-light-gray type on white is pain inducing. Black type, or at least decently dark gray, is your friend.
Great comic as usual, Adam.

Keep up the good work.
I too would like to chime in with my unsolicited comments. Larger font size, grey background for the comments section.
You say that, but…

While I also enjoy plant killing…
