If you want everybody in your gaming circle to have similar levels of fun, encourage the tactician to roll a healer. He’ll serve the purpose of keeping everyone topped-up, but strategic smarts will ensure everybody -is- having fun, given that there’s a level of screwing oneself over that no amount of healing can save you from. And if the healer is doing that planning, he’ll be having just as much fun as the people who are active in combat.
Get yourself a cleric with the Strength and War domains (3.5e). Enlarge Person is a wonderful personal spell when you have the weapon skill to back it up.
As Minister Malack said, the life of an adventuring cleric is “A perpetual struggle to maintain the hit point totals of four or five nigh-suicidal tomb robbers determined to deplete them at all costs.”
So in 3.5. Edition of D&D clerics are over powered (and my class of choice)
We can cast magic(though not as flashy as arcane casters, and inflict wounds spell is hard to argue with) while wearing heavy armor (like to see a wizard cast a fireball in full plate) and welding the weapon of our god
We are Jack’s of all trades we may not be as skilled as the bard but we can hill every role as a secondary option not just healing
Need another fighter?
we can do that,
another spell caster? check
Oh someone who can talk his way out of things?
We have high charisma for a reason
We may not be as good as the fighter in hitting things, or the wizard at blasting things, or the Rogue in wheeling and dealing
But we can do all of those things and heal and i like to see another class do that
To bad we got hella nerfed in 4e and while we reclaimed some in 5e our glory days are behind us

Aye, aye! It’s like “C’mon, could ye manage to go ten minutes witout perforating yer aorta? Just once?!?”
I’ve recently taken the game up again (after a decade and a half hiatus). Your cartoons are insiring my new group
Somebody open a window…it’s a little geeky in here… or is it nerdy? Dorky? Dweeby? Nah… definitely geeky! 😛
Nice theme week! 😀
Well on the bright side, at least you’re more valuable to your team than the guy playing the thief character.

There was no 4th edition
I’m looking forward to seeing which class you’ll talk about next. Barbarian? Druid? Bard? Paladin?
50gp says the paladin strip carries the spirit of “You should play a paladin in D&D if you like obeying the law to a fault.”
go ac cleric, i’m having fun since you need to get a 23 to hit me, and most things can’t
this is an especially funny comic if you take into account that “pictures of you” is seven and a half minutes long
