Thanks to my limited vocabulary, I know I can make these definition strips a reoccurring bit so I’m officially calling them “Dumbass Definitions.”

The disturbing thing is how all three of those definitions are spot-on. I’m not even being sarcastic.
The funny thing is that all three of them he at least got half right.

Bug seems so angry that she called him out. As if it’s her fault he doesn’t know the meaning of the word.

Do you have to look terrified while gallivanting?
First panel: At first sight I had the impression somebody is throwing that book at Bugs head.
Like: “There you go! No excuse for not looking it up!”
Since there are no direction lines, both ways work 🙂
Since I’m not a native English speaker, this strip prompted me to look up “gallivant” and here’s what I found:

1. To roam about in search of pleasure or amusement. See Synonyms at wander.
2. To play around amorously; flirt.
I… guess it’s a bit close to “screwing around while waving your arms.” XD
I think Bug is gamboling in panel 3. If he was carrying an alcoholic drink then he could be carousing, but one cannot carouse sober.
Nah, the whole body language is too stiff to be gamboling. One needs to be loose and relaxed while gamboling. 🙂
And I totally agree about the carousing.
