Finish on a High Gloat

We were bringing in groceries a few nights ago and I heard her car horn beep. I told her that her car’s horn went off and she said I was wrong. Moments later we heard it again and she realized that it was her car horn (her car keys were getting bumped in her purse and set off the horn). I then spent the next ten minutes unpacking groceries while singing the “Adam Was Right” song and gyrating in a very silly manner. She was briefly amused.
I’m thinking of a song, by a band called Flash Girls. The song, “A Meaningful Dialogue”, might have some relevance here: “I’ve got my fingers in my ears, I’m goin’ la-la-la-la-la-la-la-laaaaa”. Fun song. (The album also features an All-Purpose Folk Song and an adorable adaptation of A. A. Milne. And a couple booze songs. And a parenthood song. Okay, strike that; it’s a song all parents are required to listen to … um … yeah. There’s lots there, but, yeah, the relationship song comes to mind for obvious reasons.)
As women seem to see it as one of the basic rules of the universe that they are always right, I know exactly how you feel.
Although they might file such an occasion under the obvious exception that proves the rule.
It’s not ALL women… Although there’s enough of them in my family that I can see where the idea comes from!
Anyone (male or female) who thinks they are always right is probably compensating for the frequency with which they are, in fact, wrong.
Yeah!
Also, Adam…you might want to throw in a couple of male “I was right and you were wrong” dancers. I dunno ’bout your girl, but mine wouldn’t appreciate getting being wrong rubbed in her face by me and a bunch of hot chicks. Also (one more little thing) Adam…the girl dancer next to you looks like she has a looooong right arm. I know it’s yours but it’s lined up just right.
P.S. I do also do the dance complete with silly gyrations. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does…oh, it’s ON!
It’s not just the one dancer; they’ve all got thrir arms lined up like ribbon tying them together.
That reminds me of this Vine from the Eh Bee family:

Parse error in the third panel – no end quote.
Dang it! Thanks for catching that. Will fix.
Dedicated fans are the best QA
The last four words in Adam’s comments describe my wife’s reaction to most things I do.
My wife would have killed me.
My husband is right so seldom that I allow him to gloat in whatever manner he chooses. I, however, don’t need to gloat.
Which leads me to another idea that a remarkable percentage of women seem to follow: Women need a man just to have someone handy to blame if something goes wrong.
You chose exactly this subject out of poor judgement? There weren’t any possible candidates with a higher chance of being right sometimes available?
The art on this one really has me chuckling. Especially the second panel.
Hope you don’t mind, but I gave you a shoutout on my facebook page. Just something I’m doing each day until my server/web host transition goes through. You were even the first choice!
Awesome! Thanks for getting the word out!
In my mind, that song is this song:

Crap, how do I make that clickable?
