Pardon me if I’ve misinterpreted your train of thought, but dressing up at a convention =/= losing one’s grip on reality. At a con, just about everyone is dressed up. Huge difference from cosplaying at a supermarket :/
1.5 or so, cons are my big money dump of that single guy disposable income… though I usually end up spending large amounts of it on females… my 5 sisters…
Heh, I'm about 2.4 I would think. I always find myself missing food, new clothes or some other practical stuff, while kinda automagically the computer seems to get new HW before it is really needed… and the USB lamp for the laptop might have been a little over top as well… :-
I think I am somewhere between class 3 and class 2. I splurge on geeky stuff and know a few odd geeky facts. (although i really just like to confuse and/or amaze people with the facts)
My fiancee and I are both solid 2's, although we often joke that we're somewhere between 2 and 3.
We both play WoW, we both play Warhammer (mainly 40k, but also Fantasy), and we both play D&D… in fact, we met through my D&D group: I'm the DM, she's playing an Eladrin Wizard =3
Ha I’m first class geek and proud of it. oh wait…… geek I thought you meant nerd I’m smart but not to geeky I don’t like comics or star trek I’m ok with star wars but not a huge fan. But I have been playing D&D since i was 6 and I do like warhammer 40000 so Id say I’m second class. (god I talk to much)
Loved the strip, but couldn’t get past the fact that Jordi LaForge is human and therefore devoid of Vulcan ears, nor the fact that the Starfleet uniforms of TNG are black with colored shoulders, not solid white.
Data from Starship Enterprise’s database says Izzie C. is a first class geek. Evidence shows her riding her scooter wearing a fez and a bow tie, pretending she’s in the time vortex.
I think I hit a 3, but I do not dress up. I attended the Phoenix Comicon and the club I am part builds the largest LEGO display in Phoenix every year. I will never on your life go to San Diego Comicon. I like my arms and legs too much. Besides, Phoenix is busy enough.
For the record I think I am a nerd not a geek. I do not have a pocket protector and I spend a lot money on my glasses. I also get my news from slashdot.
So does that make me a 2.5 class geek? I readily admit to being geeky, but I don't actually spend money on it…
that would make sense
Second class. W007.
1.5! I'll attend a convention in costume once in a while. Virtual high five?
**virtualy high fives**
You cosplay at cons and you think you’re a 1.5? You’re a 2 in DENIAL!
Okay, I’m a moron who got the number system backward in her head. Sorry.
Pardon me if I’ve misinterpreted your train of thought, but dressing up at a convention =/= losing one’s grip on reality. At a con, just about everyone is dressed up. Huge difference from cosplaying at a supermarket :/

I would be a 2, but I have no income, so…
Me and my Gf are about 1.7 we spend roughly 30% on geeked out stuff.
😀
I was definitely a 2. No more disposable income…wah wah wah waaah
I'm a mix of all three. 😉
Is there such a thing as a zero? I spend +50% of my life roleplaying.
1.5 or so, cons are my big money dump of that single guy disposable income… though I usually end up spending large amounts of it on females… my 5 sisters…
does LoTR merch count as "geeky paraphernalia?" If so, I'm a solid 2 at least.
I think i'd be a 1.7 or so as well. i spend all my extra money on geeky stuff. But i'm still grounded in reality. lame no spaceship reality.
Heh, I'm about 2.4 I would think. I always find myself missing food, new clothes or some other practical stuff, while kinda automagically the computer seems to get new HW before it is really needed… and the USB lamp for the laptop might have been a little over top as well… :-
lovin' the reference in the name 🙂 I'm a 1.7
If I was able, I'd be roleplaying every free moment, at least with one of the groups I'm in 🙂
I think I am somewhere between class 3 and class 2. I splurge on geeky stuff and know a few odd geeky facts. (although i really just like to confuse and/or amaze people with the facts)
The only problem with this comic is that it's focused on the sci-fi geeks, not the tech-head geeks.

2-and-a-half. I don't bother with paraphernalia, but I gladly answer any question put to me.
haha! poor Craig..he's gonna hafta deal w/ Zornof..

i would be a 2 but…. saddly i am poor…..
Second class reporting. Someday I hope to become a first class geek.
Oh, and to all you third classes out there? (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)
Loved the strip, but couldn’t get past the fact that Jordi LaForge is human and therefore devoid of Vulcan ears, nor the fact that the Starfleet uniforms of TNG are black with colored shoulders, not solid white.
That said, where do I fall?
And this system would make me…
ZERO class?!
Even I know Supermans name, though I always did my best to stand the hell away from DC comics.
Data from Starship Enterprise’s database says Izzie C. is a first class geek. Evidence shows her riding her scooter wearing a fez and a bow tie, pretending she’s in the time vortex.
I’m like… a .5

I’m a 1.5 class geek.
Did you know dilithium crystals were going to just be called lithium crystals until someone remembered that lithium is a real thing.
Not exactly flattery to the battery.
(True Story, by the way.)
