I’m okay with the new logo but no wow or snerk but a just smidgen above meh.
When I first head/read about the name change the first thing that came to mind was “martini” as in the distinctive glass, followed by Dean Martin followed by his Mat Helm persona followed by classic playboy martini glass toons and then my trail of semiconscious thought generated the image of Bug in a martini glass in a similar manner.
Okay, its a Monday morning but you gotta admit that even if not made as a logo it would make for a nice running series of panels.
“The trouble with real life is that you don’t know if you’re the hero, or just some nice chap who gets bumped off in chapter four to show what a rotter the villain is without anyone minding very much.” — Sara Caudwell
And since the new logo is, well, new, figure I might as well give feedback on it. It looks great except for how thick the black outline is around the letters compared to the line thickness for the rest of the site layout. Maybe I’m being overly picky (I am), but I think it’d look much better with 2-3 pixels worth of thickness shaved off.
To be honest, the old logo’s Bug ‘Original looks fat, and is exactly what bug self-proclaims to be. The new one looks some slim and fit.
Also, it might be the big eyes, bug looks much younger now.
I drop things all the time trying not to crush the object with a gorilla grip but it never fails to slip through my fingers because I’m trying to be too delicate.
Since we’re discussing the new moniker: The new name simply makes me think of a martini with bugs in it… which is fine with me because I find both gin and vermouth unpalatable. I’ll stick to vodka. 🙂
And so the Bug Martini era begins with a less-than-successful action sequence, leaving the obvious action question: Is Bug Martini shaken or stirred?
Keep up the good toons…
That was my thinking too – James Bond. In this case it is more “squished or splatted?”. Best of luck to Mr. Martini! So long to plain old Bug …
love the new logo!

Hooray for the new Bug Martini header!
Also if I’m ever in this action adventure scenario, I might as well just die. I’m more of a “quirky sidekick/first person to die” type of guy.

Haters gonna hate the new title.
You know you’re good at comedy when all four panels of your comic are hilarious both in and out of context.
I just saw F&F 6 this weekend. So much this.
Yay for name change!
Great comic as usual.

If Bug’s grip has a 43% success rating, shouldn’t he be in traction too?
He avoided *traction* because of his *slippery* grip.
Geddit? Huh? Do ya?
… I’m sorry…
Well, at least he sit around drinking a bug martini while waiting for her to get out of traction.

Well, so much for the “Bug holding a martini glass with raised eyebrows” thing ;-;
Still pretty cool!
Your comic on ink outbreak is still listed as BUG
