It is the second appearance. I can’t remember the title of the strip but it was from the one on ‘Fertility Clinics’ and the GIMP was a ‘Medically certified pervert’.
I would’ve definitely liked to have had one of these guys around during my college days. I sat through so many student presentations that managed to be so awkward, slow, and poorly executed that it somehow caused me physical discomfort to have to sit through them. Removing them from stage right would have been a mercy to everyone involved.
With where that second panel put my mind, I can only say the movement lines on the last panel are… unfortunately placed. Especially for a child bug! *shudder*
I’ve been in office meetings that sure could have used a vaudeville hook guy.
Do cartoons feature vaudeville hook guys anymore? That’s where I always saw them growing up, and I’m not sure they’re in cartoon form anymore. The young(est) generation might have no idea what today’s strip is talking about.
is he that kid’s dad? they look alike
This comment has a very different meaning if you think it’s referring to the second panel.
A gimp-bug?
I didn’t see that coming…
I believe this is the second appearance of one. But, I don’t have the memory like others here appear to have.
Now, what was I saying?…

Just imagine how great those presentations could be today, when the presenters can wear an occulus rift instead of reading aloud from their notes!
Finally, these presenters can (sorta) face their audience!
Poor gimpy there got cheated out of an evening I see. Now I really, really wants to know more about that Gimp bug.
So much wrong with that last panel ROFL!
Panel 2 killed me!
The title reminded me of an episode of Animaniacs titled “Hooked On A Ceiling”.
With where that second panel put my mind, I can only say the movement lines on the last panel are… unfortunately placed. Especially for a child bug! *shudder*
That seems to be an umbilical cord, not motion lines.
You are correct.
Apologies. I think I miss read the last panel completely. Ignore me guys, move along!
Ooga-Chaka Ooga-Ooga indeed.

Regardless, good strip, Adam!
Bo Peep would be envious of that crook of his. He should get a job as a sheep farmer.
