My family has been using 7-UP as our “drink of choice” while sick for 50 years! I think the reasoning behind it is that it might make you burp, thus getting rid of a tummy-ache, otherwise it doesn’t really help much, but hey…it’s tradition!
Weeping Native American Bug is new, isn’t he?
Awesome as always, Adam. Alliteration!
my prefered choice is hot chocolate, though most would disagree, i find a hot drink much more relaxing and calming, makes me sleep real fast so i can just pass by a major sickness without effort.
As someone with a chronic dust allergy, I can attest to the subsequent littering of my car with said tissues. They really need to make a good trashcan for that.
I don’t think you are but: youtu.be/j7OHG7tHrNM
And yes, Chief “Iron Eyes” Cody was as fake a Native American as the glycerine drop rolling down his cheek snopes.com/movies/actors/ironeyes.asp, but he did a LOT of good for both the environment and real Native Americans, so he’s still cool.
i had to check the definition of a few words.
nerd bug is pretty nice and polite in panel 2.
I think it’s pure sarcasm. Not nice and polite 🙂 .. Unless you meant your comment as sarcastic too.
I think he’s more avoiding getting ill.
If the Native American weeps…
Does the collective amount of tissues go up?
Making him weep more?
Till they’re all swimming through a sea of tissues!
“Muh.”
That made me laugh — and it’s not even a word. Just a noise. 😉
Actually, “Muh” is German for “Mooh”. Uh, not that it mattered. Onomatopoeia don’t really count as words anyway if you ask me.
Did I spell that right?
Yeah, you spelled it right. 🙂
Three of the all-time greatest panels. 2) Muh. 3) Whose nose do you gotta blow … 4) Bummed-out Native American.
Wow, I definitely thought my family was the only one who saw 7-Up as the drink of choice while sick!
“Muh”. Perfect.

Not 7Up, ginger ale.

They do, its called the backseat.
I’m not alone!
Well, tissues are paper. And paper is made out of wood.
If you toss it out the window, you’re just returning it to its family!
Love panel 2. “Muh”, I’m exactly like that when I’m sick. There’s no need for coherent speech when a simple noise will do 🙂
Read your Tweet Adam — hope to hear from you and feel better soon!
I am coming down with a second bout of tonsilitis. This week of Bug will be my bible. 😉
Who’s the more sad, Indians or Pandas..
I’m the only one I know who remembers those littering commercials, funny sort of nostalgia.
