Joined at the Zip

This happened to me at a restaurant a couple of weeks ago. My girlfriend had to help unzip my coat. I felt like a dumb four year old kid.

Feeling like a four year old kid in public is bad enough, but a DUMB four year old kid is really bad!
When zippers work, they’re the bomb-diggety, when they don’t work, they suck the life right out of you.
And when they catch skin…(particularly in the pants zipper area…) there are no words!
When the zipper you usually use breaks you’ll be glad for the second zipper. I type from experience.
Not sure what kind of zipper you are talking about. All the dual-zippers I’ve had required that you use both at the same time. That’s why they tend to get stuck. When one of them breaks, it becomes impossible to zip it.

I did that last week in Ikea. Except it was my grandma who had to unzip me. While my little cousin laughed and took pictures.
Aw man, no swords?
If you don’t think about it too hard, zippers are a lot like a series of tiny swords designed to keep your clothes on rather than stab people.
Of course, if you DO think about it, zippers are just like zippers, and that’s a lot less fun.
Swords are just like big zippers, then.
Except they don’t hold your clothes on UNLESS you stab through.

Its that little thing at the end you have to get set just right to even get the thing to work.
Last year I saw an advert for a self setting zip that you could close with one hand supposedly. Was already patented and exclusive to one brand of overpriced outerwear. Never saw one in the shops as yet.
