I was taught the balloon would pop once it rose high enough for… some reason I can’t recall but should. But aye, I reckon child bug took the correct course of action. Best to get it away from the evil as fast as possible.
The balloon will pop once it reaches an altitude where the atmospheric pressure is so low that the air inside the balloon expands more than the balloon material can handle.
I’ve never really understood the whole “scared of clowns” thing myself, but clown bug is…mildly disturbing for some reason. Especially in the second panel (first one he’s in). However, the eyes of kid bug in the 4th panel as he’s being handed the balloon? Priceless!
We blame it on the movie “It”. While I don’t have a phobia I still don’t like the Ronald McDonald types to look at me or come near me. I find myself ok with Hobo looking clowns and I can still take my daughter to the circus.
That clown looks like the sort of critter one should expect to face in Kingdom Hearts. I can’t bring myself to be afraid of any non-chainsaw wielding clown.
I was afraid of Clowns before IT. That movie only served to confirm my fears. When I was little my grandmother tried to give me a clown doll- I cried and screamed until she took it away.
I went to the circus with my mother and had the time of my life- until a clown tried to give me cotton candy. Flipped my s**t.
Went to the fair with my dad, kicked a clown in the shin for trying to give me a balloon. I never had any real reason to distrust/fear clowns. I just KNEW they were wrong. Unnatural. Evil.
Wouldn’t it made more sense to pop the balloon first?

thus freeing the child’s soul! well, the science is solid.
2 LETTERS: IT.
THEY ALL FLOAT DOWN HERE
BEEP BEEP Richie! 😐 I have a love/hate relationship with that movie.
All I can say about that movie is lol, for some reason even as a kid i found it hysterical.
Actually a kid yelling “Flee! Flee to Jesus!!” scares me more than a clown.
Lol!
Amen.
I never got all the hate for clowns. 🙁 dudes arent that scary, theyre just clowns.
Also cant hate clowns when gamz is one.
Yeah. Also because of the clown scare the clown school receive less and less student each year.
No, really: http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2012/05/19/clowns-might-weep-over-state-of-the-art.html
I can’t think of many things as painful as biting my own tooth
Wow. That was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Thanks you.
Clown bug is pretty creepy. Not as creepy as big boned bug, but still slightly disturbing. Or maybe that’s just clowns in general…
And this is why we never see clowns around anymore.

If I entered a dark room, turned the light on and saw a guy just standing there – that would be freaky.
If the same thing happened and it was a clown – I would exclaim a small, “hrk!” and some of my hair would turn white.
I never found clown scary; only annoying. They aren’t funny and they’re always in your face. They’re so lucky I wasn’t a kicker or a biter as a child.
Imagine if he had met a juggalo.

All clowns are serial killers, so says Tosh.

I think it’s the white face-paint because lets face it, pale skin can be pretty creepy looking at times.
“Can’t sleep, clown’ll eat me!”
Clowns are SERIOUSLY creepy. and they’re NOT FUNNY.
Mimes are just douchebags.
We all float down here . . .
I dunno – I think the bug-clown is kind of cute.
Then again, I think mimes are awesome.
The “flee to Jesus” part really cracks me up, especially the way the clown’s looking at that kid like “WTF is he doing?”.
