I’d use it on myself to remove the memories of my favorite games, then play through them again! It would be experiencing it all again for the first time!
Once…just ONCE, I’d like to see Captain Picard shoot the top off a bottle of beer with a phaser. Just one time, that’s all I ask for! Well, that and a well-placed “Shut UP, Wesley!”
The phaser’s “stun” setting also set up a long-term PR problem for police departments: Remember how cell-phones converged toward the ST communicator, and ST’s automatic doors inspired their real-world development?
Well, those phasers set up a flatly impossible standard for non-lethal weaponry. Simply put, there is no way to reliably render human beings unconscious or helpless against their will, without also risking their death and/or long-term injury.
They could make guns, and there’s at least one episode of DS9 where two people replicated rifles, but I think they were usually programmed not to without some super high level clearance.
Just don’t confuse the settings. You don’t want to only stun your enemies.
…..brillant adam
XD
I don’t care that much about panels 3 and 4, but I’ve been waiting desperately all my life for its invention just for panel 2.
Although I wouldn’t have expressed my intention to use it so neatly…
My #1 most wanted scifi device is still the flasher from Men In Black.
His name is Bob.

and the bad ones too obviously
Hardcore nerd saying, “It’s actually a disruptor that disintegrates people!” in 5…4…3…
Why are you counting down, when you already said it?
Klingons used disruptors, the Federation issues Phasers.
The Gorn were fond of plasma weapons and the Tholians were space spiders.

Can’t help with the first, but the second:

I seem to remember a lot less pew pew and lot more pow whack zot thunk from the original series.
“Set phasers to naptime!”
Damn dude, the description for this comic got dark FAST.
Oh good gravy, panel 4 nearly killed me! That came out in my own voice and it was dead-on perfect!
Set Phasers for Pfun? No? Aww…
I feel like the replicator was the most versatile. It could even make phasers.
im not sure about this, but dident the replicators lack the ablity to make gold pressed lattium and thats why it was used as currency?
just noting that as it might also be that they couldent make guns as well…..
