I tweeted this to Steve Vai (who is an honest to god bug bee keeper), and he… ok ok I’m kidding. I don’t even have a Twitter. But if I had one, and I did tweet this to him, I’m sure he’d wail a guitar solo in your honor!
I think this might be the 1st reference to actual insect behavior in a Bug strip. Weird, huh?
“Trunky, not Funky” just might be the next “Not that there’s anything wrong with that”. You just have to get Seinfeld to say it.
Also, booty-shaking niece is hilarious.
Pollen. Funny funny stuff here. I love this comic, man!
Heh, so true. My friends and I, quite at random, “Do a silly dance!” He’s a happy person, I’m a bipolar cynic with a distaste for human society. Take from that what you will.
I’m a belly dancer with a depressive bipolar disorder, and I always feel better after class. Maybe it’s the booty shaking? Gotta remember to shimmy more!
I dunno, man, I was having a major depressive episode last week and at one point I did a little dance just so’s people would stop asking me about it. I must have looked sufficiently cheery, because the questions stopped, but I wasn’t feeling any better. :/
Another excellent LOL comic sir. The geek (and beekeeper) in me feels compelled to point out that according to Karl Von Frisch’ seminal work bees only dance to show the location of nectar (or other calorific finds) rather than pollen (protein). They do forage for the latter but apparently do not dance for it. Unless you know better? In which case post a reference and accept my apology
i just imagine your niece, in her late teens, going through this stuff to see what her uncle wrote about her, coming across this one and going “did i really shake my butt allot?”
Shaking your booty, your derriΓ¨re, your rump, your butt, your hindquarters, your tuchus, your hams, your glutes, your flanks, your bottom, your sittin’ muscle, your caboose, your rapidly-growing following, your big bounder, rounder than a quarter-pounder…

This is brilliant hahaha. Funny but true… “Trunky not Funky” hahaha super hilarious.
Go go, happy-booty-shaking-bug! π
INIT! π
buahahahaha
i love it!
But I always shake my booty in futile attempts to cheer myself up.
Last Panel really killed me. Fantastic.
I LOL’d. Nice, Adam.
LOL… So true! I love it π that’s what I’ve been doing to Christmas music all week!

I’ve been feeling pretty sad lately for lots of reasons. I think I’ll take your advice!
Dude! Panel 4 and the bee reference is awesomeness.
I want to be like you when I grow up. π
“Trunky not funky”! Oh god XD laughing in the library. Must. Stop…. *giggle*
Thanks! Now I’m thinking about Party Rock Anthem again! Can’t sit still when I hear that song!
Woo! I’m cured! You’re niece is as cute as…a…um…a bug.
“Trunky not Funky.” LMAO!!! I love Bug.
It’s because the endorphins generated from good, sweaty exercise have mighty powers against depression. No kidding.
I shake it and I don’t care if I look like a dork π
LOVE!

Your niece is totally adorbs though.

You, sir, are a genius!
i just imagine your niece, in her late teens, going through this stuff to see what her uncle wrote about her, coming across this one and going “did i really shake my butt allot?”
Nice, but what about bipolar people? Half the time I’m shaking my booty, the other half I’m sulking and droopy….
The niece made me laugh so hard I had tears. Even though she’s a bug, she reminds me of my niece!
haha i like that u been using niece bug alot π also i can agree w/ this happy ppl do seem to be more dancy
I was having a really bad day, read this, cracked up laughing, proceeded to shake my booty, and then felt much better =)
That last one made me think of my kid sister – the last two panels are completely her! π
You never cease to entertain, go bug and go adam!
I take it the niece is a bee.
Sheik Yerbouti.

My 4 year old always jumps out of the bath and does her “Naked Butt” dance. I am guessing she is pretty happy.
