In Queensland, we had outdoor showers near the beach to wash (at least most of) the sand off before you got in your car to come home. Surprised it never took off over there……
Here in the US, it depends on what the local government decided to fund. So some public beaches have outdoor showers, some have showers in the bathroom buildings, and some have none at all.
Of course, some parts of the US have more beach attendance than others due to weather factors…
“or have scientists develop sand-proof swimwear” …I mean, their ALREADY DOING THAT….
if you get hydro-phobic materials, sand won’t stick to it as the surface tension of water won’t carry sand particles to your clean shorts and then leave it there. seriously, you can pour MUD on your shoes and they stay clean (although I’m sure that degrades over time).
I appreciate how wobbly and deformed you are whilst getting de-sanded in panel two.

Indeed, the one place in my life I regularly went to the beach had foot showers and full showers available. This was Hawaii.
