A soulmate is a favourable chemical reaction combined with a desirable biological distraction. Logic and reason have no place in this. We probably have millions of likely soulmates. I know I do….
I was using stumble upon and i saw this web comic and was wow. I think of stuff like that all the time and this comic is one of them. finally someone put it down on digital paper.
I stumbled upon this and quite like it. And, it's true, my 'true love/soul mate' was on the otherside of the world. She's from India, I'm American and we met in Saudi Arabia.
Don't despair, if it's supposed to happen, it will.
This is usually so true…but I think that there are exceptions…my wife was the roommate of my best friend that I visited on a whim in Florida, (I rode a Greyhound bus from Maine). So there are exceptions, but I don't think that they make this comic any less funny.
I thought this was great…not funny, but great. Very thoughtful and exposing to our delusions. Falling in love is wonderful, but the very idea that "he/she is the only one for me" is really absurd, as this comic shows well. We can fall in love with so many people, every one of them our seemingly "one and only". This is a very refreshing and optimistic fact, and should cheer up anyone who has lost their love. Keep looking!
by the way, i also believe in the Loch Ness Monster. It is not a monster but an occassional big fish. I've been to the Loch, but not lucky enough to see the fish. Keep looking!
Man I think the fact that you put up a sign saying "Love of my life" with an arrow. This comic could only have been funnier if you had it running on .gif, with the sign blinking and flashing.
It might seem strange, at least to uptight folks with "traditional family values", that my adopted child is ten years older than me. I'm awful busy with this comic so I hope you consider neglect a a sign of parental affection.
I'm dead srs when I say that I have, independently, relayed almost the EXACT same thoughts long before I read this. In my example about the absurdity of the idea of a soulmate, however, I said shes probably in the mountains of mongolia or something traveling very far to get medicine for her grandma whist drearily thinking about finding true love.
I even said the same thing about the chances of said "soulmate" to live anywhere remotely near you! WTFFFFFFFF. I guess I HAVE to start reading your comics now.
This was great! And funny! I totally getthe absurdity of the soulmate, in fact my fiance and I have argued aboutthis many a time ( him pro , me con) but when you find a great person for you, no matter how close, or far, in this case he was about 2400 km away…take that and run with it!
Sounds like we all just need to become hermits and travel the world till we all find our "soul mates". With my luck mine will probably a cannibal in New Zealand. When he asks me to marry him he'll end up nibbling on my fingers.
this is great comic at thank you BUG! I LOVE IT! the comments are as great as the strip cause they are so classic web idiots thanks again i think i wet my pants gotta go!!!!
I liked this, it made me laugh and happy. My boyfriend and I feel we're soul mates and we met each other but lived 3000 miles apart our entire lives. We're both extremely different but the same and definitely soul mates. So good job, lol.
It has been said that you will meet 10 people who are your perfect soul mate in your lifetime. Its up to you to recognize those people when you meet them. Not all are recognized and even fewer are chosen.

I'm not exaggerating when I say again that this is the funniest webcomic I read, and I read a bunch of webcomics.
Wow! Thanks a lot!
actually this sucks . most webcomics are bad and yours is no exception .get a real job :/ i'm sorry i stumbled over this
So cool! My first heckler!
Congrats on the hater!
I actually liked it. He is just mad because he knows it is true and is probably married to "his soul mate"
this comic is awesome most web comics do suck but yours makes me lol every day
…well every weekday
Wow, you have a critic. You got it made now. 🙂
You are SO right! My soulmate is Chinese and I had to learn the damn language
Hah, this seems very logical and made me laugh.
heh i thought it was cute. made me smile = )
hahah, but i believe you soulmate is most likely to be near, because differente cultures would produce two tottally different persons
Unless you go by the meaning… Opposites attract. Then it is. 🙂
How appropriate that the ad is Inuyasha. A girl travels across time and finds her soul mate, for those who are unfamiliar with the show.
i like
Awesome, good stuff. Yeah my soulmate was a pain to get to so I settled for a hot chick just across town.

doesn't the description "favourable chemical reaction combined with a desirable biological distraction" directly oppose the whole idea of a soulmate?
a soulmate implies a connection on a deeper (or higher, kinda vague this stuff) level than just the chemical or biological.
that's why the entire concept is ridiculous, it's undefinable.
Ah critics ftw, you'll get loads of visits now. All publicity is good publicity.

Hilarious. Thank you Stumble for bringing me here.
so true. now make one about religion, please!! that'll really piss some people off
I moved all the way across the country for my soulmate.
Might have been the wrong choice.

oh right, because everyone who's not a Westerner SPEAKS GIBBERISH.
Well, I assume the love of my life does.
You picked that to rag on and overlooked the BONE THROUGH THE NOSE???
Learn to hate responsibly!
Who says it's gibberish?
You're joking right? Stop pretending to be cultured, you ass. This comic was funny.
Does he realize this is webcomic, and not to be taken very seriously?

moo-goo walla walla i damn near shit myself when i saw that!
Yesterday was the first time I saw your webcomic, namely this one specifically. I just had to come back and say that it's hilarious, great work.
Yeah, mine is probably stuck in North Korea where she couldn't get to me even if she wanted to. >.>

Thanks…I think?

Really funny! Keep up the creativity! 😀

Sorry about the incomplete in the first sentence. Just throw a random phrase that follows the pattern "is the (adjective noun) about this one."
This is the best webcomic ever.. Very funny. I wish I could be like you.. Can I get adopted ?
I'm 46 but that just means I have experience..
It might seem strange, at least to uptight folks with "traditional family values", that my adopted child is ten years older than me. I'm awful busy with this comic so I hope you consider neglect a a sign of parental affection.

loved it! I especially enjoyed how the love of your life is fluent in "Doodlebob-ese"
Sounds like we all just need to become hermits and travel the world till we all find our "soul mates". With my luck mine will probably a cannibal in New Zealand. When he asks me to marry him he'll end up nibbling on my fingers.
I know no one will care about this but I lived in walla walla washington for quite sometime.
that just means that it adds just that much more funny to the comic for me personally.
Cheers!
i got it made. my soul is highly promiscuous.
hhahahhahahah This is hilarious!
Loved it.

Eh, it's all right.
LOL..
Not "laugh out loud" funny but really good in its own way… a different kind of funny but still a good job
probably among the funniest of the web comics, thanks stumble upon
Anthony Pittarelli
Cute. Pessimistic but cute.
My 'soul mate' lives in Las Vegas and I live in Korea. How's that for distance.
It has been said that you will meet 10 people who are your perfect soul mate in your lifetime. Its up to you to recognize those people when you meet them. Not all are recognized and even fewer are chosen.
Good stuff adam. I really like the way you word your comics.
Stumbled from Texas, pro comic
Laughing my butt off at all the people in the comments going on about their soulmates. Did they miss the part about that being delusional?!
This is hysterical! One of the funniest things I have read in a while.
