That’s Music to My Fears

Heard a horrible sound a few days ago while driving. I immediately began to speculate how much this noise was gonna cost me. Got so annoyed that I turned the radio up so I couldn’t hear it. When I got to my destination and got out I saw that the noise was just a tree branch that my car was dragging on the ground.
Hatekovic? I’m a big fan of Weird Al, but I’ve never heard of this other guy.
It’s accordion death metal. He’s the best man for the job, of course.
I hear that. I once heard a heavy metal version of Disney’s “Let it Go,” and that was hilarious (for some reason).
On the flip side of that, you haven’t lived until you’ve heard a lullaby version of U2’s “Sunday Bloody Sunday” played on a xylophone.
Was that the Leo Morachiolli cover of Let It Go?
No, the one I found was called ‘betraying the martyrs’.
I would have thought Viking Death Metal would have been more on the mark.
Can’t recall where, but I once heard some German metal that sounded quite scary to me.
Viking Death Metal has some quiet parts…very very short quiet parts (between the notes). Accordions have that ‘noisy the entire time’ thing going for them.
‘Weird’ Al knows he’s made it to the big times when Hatekovic covers one of his songs.
Accordion metal? So you’ve been listening to Alestorm, too?
I find this amusing, as on Friday (when this was posted) I literally just picked up my new (used) car. So now I freak out a little if I so much as hear my tire hit a small bump in the road.
My old one, however, was to do pretty much exactly as Bug is doing.
“Is that a scraping noise? Oh well, I won’t be able to hear it if I turn my music up more.”
Last time I heard a scraping noise like that, I pulled off to find part of the underside of the cab had rusted loose and was dragging on the road. Teach me not to buy $600 trucks from the 80s and assume they’re roadworthy.
