This is so true, it pathetic. Truffle Shuffle kid from Goonies isn’t fat by today’s kids standards either, but he was borderline obese back in the 80s. Horace from Monster Squad was the same deal.
Yeah, even when it was used as a joke, obesity is still a problematic issue. It will be impossible to remake the Goonies. No way he can follow the other kids up.
I saw Jerry on Letterman when that movie came out, and he’d already slimmed back down. They showed the, “Wanna see a dead body?” clip, and Letterman was like… “Uh, wow, you were… bigger, back then…”
You’re right, nobody would blink twice at the kid now.
You mean a kid would have a treehouse in modern day???
No but really, kids wouldn’t be so fat if the first thing they got fed wasn’t formula (which is corn syrup solids, canola oil, whey if you get the expensive stuff, and lots of various soy products, with some manufactured vitamins added in for nutrition). Seriously, how is that even comparable to milk?

That fat kid turned out to be Jerry O’Connell who is married to Rebecca Romijn. He’s done as well as any fat kid could ever hope to.
You beat me to it! I’d be that fat kid any day!
Well, I mean NOW…
“what, you mean like, wait?” “nah, I was hoping one of you would croak falling off the ladder I just broke.”

I guess you could say he’s only fat *sunglasses* because he’s standing by them.
(there you go, Adam.)
YEEEAAAAHHHH!!!!

Hey! I was bottlefed and I’m not fat.
And my cousin was breastfed and is overweight so there goes that theory.
I learn so many words by Adam. Svelte is just one of many that he’s showed me. Keep up the edumacation!
