French Guiana is a former colony that is now a part of France. Granted, it’s located north of Brazil, so it’s a bit of a drive and I’m not sure if they have many baguettes there, but a sufficiently motivated bug could make it.
Technically you can NOT drive to Guiana. There is a swamp in southern Panama / northern Colombia which had not been drained and has no road through it. You have to hack through this one on foot.
While reading through the archive, I got curious after the comic about comic-muse a few days ago… to keep a short story… well… not short: No butt-comic for thursday.
And think of all the money we’d have saved on Hurricane Katrina.
I’m now imagining a super-bridge connecting America to Europe.
I’m now trying to rack my brain and remember everything we got from the Louisiana purchuse. But this is futile at 6:00am.
