This is very much the reason why I – the first time I have someone over – ask them if they could lock the door.
And yes, it helps to also have the entire hallway set up so that clothes-hanger and shoerack are immediatly inside the door and stuff like phone-charger are a bit in.
Most people tend to be more creeped out when they realise just how much tought I have put into this.
Actually I can say I’ve always been a habitual door-locker and similar thoughts (well OK except for the last panel) have gone through my mind when I was dating…
Before I started listening to Geeks of Steel, I would read the comic in my own voice. But now I can actually hear Adam when I’m reading this comic and it makes it even more hilarious!
Always lock the door. It’s the only way to keep burglars out, since none of them are known to be lock-pickers or anything…(ahem).
But I totally do it anyway!
As a bug reader from South Africa, I know my date would be more freaked out if I DON’T lock the door. I wish our burglars were as polite as the bug burglars. Unfortunately, they’re the one’s with UZIs.
Adam, sometimes I wonder about your life, I really do…. I hope it’s not really this funny.
Sooo, what? You’re hoping he lives such a dull and boring life like everyone else?
Sounds like a curse to me. Or possibly jealousy…
Oh, just the opposite. In fact there’s a curse (usually mistakenly purported to be Chinese) that proceeds thusly:
“May you live in interesting times.”
If Adam’s life really were this interesting, he’d probably have been dead a long time ago, and we wouldn’t be here enjoying his comic.
Now *that* is a scary curse.
This!

It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it is told.

BurglerDatingAdvice dot com is a big hit!
I love how the burglars are just casually talking to you while they carry your microwave away!
I love that you can tell that it’s a microwave!
Of course it’s a microwave, what else could it possibly be?
Small 80s TV?
Can’t be, it’s the only thing in the comic without antennae!
My safe word is chest wounds.

As a reader from Rural Michigan, all I can ask is; “What’s a lock?”
-If you leave your car running in the store parking lot, the worst that can happen is someone will reach in the open window and shut it off.
