The weird part is that as I was going through the archives, He does just as many jokes about Hitler. For a man under fifty he spends a surprisingly large amount of time thinking about Hitler and Nazis.
I can think of at least three counter-examples in fiction. However, of those three, one is from a childhood TV show whose name I cannot remember (I just remember parts of the conversation), one is a case of the character being so known by their nickname that their real name is not given, and one is from a video game with an overzealous bad-word censor. So… maybe not the best argument.
A guy once came up to me and said “You look like a Gregory. I’m gonna call you Gregory.”
To this day people I have know for 20 years think that is my name. I have forgotten my real name more than once. I even named my second child Gregory in honor of that nickname. I have no idea why the man said it, but that chance conversation—which no doubt he has forgotten—has echoed in eternity.
I am not profiling here Adam but you best jokes are usual fart ones. I wonder what your nickname was…

They nicknamed him after the bad guy. Kids are so cruel.
Adolf Fartler is my guess.
