I’ve gotten an “I tried” sticker for not having enough iron to actually donate. Proudest moment of my life. “I really care and WANTED to do something useful but I didn’t have to actually DO anything. But I want everyone to know how selfless I am.” ‘Murican dream.
I have the perfect blood for donating, and I tried to give it…but my veins are too small. They dug around in my arm for almost a half hour before giving up. I felt like I needed an “I tried…” sticker, because I felt nothing but shame wearing those false freebies.
I know of a few people who were brain donors. They keep cropping up in headlines.
Old BC cartoon, I think: “I just donated all my organs to medical science!”
“You’re certainly holding up well.”
I’ll have to remember, instead of calling someone dumb, to thank them for their generous contribution to medicine, i.e. their brain donation.
I donated once and all they gave me was a sticker. I was expecting cookies! I was so annoyed.
If you attempt to give blood, but they decline you for some reason, you can get an “I tried” sticker.
“I tried, but I’m too gay.”
Is this a joke or for real
Because I honestly tried but I don’t meet the weight limit 🙁
I just got an American Red Cross ad on this page: “Give something that means something”. I’m not sure if this is fitting or ironic. Probably both.
Donating my nervous system sounds like a great way to solve a few of my problems. But who’d want it? It’s clearly defective.
The worst is when I vote and they don’t give me the “I Voted” sticker.
I’d get a sticker that said – “I might have drank your milk shake.”
Wonderful title. 🙂
Yes!! I was wondering if someone else had caught the movie title reference 😀
Can you donate segments of organs? That how mine’re gonna end up getting removed anyway.
Then again, considering the condition they’re in, the only place I’d be able to donate them to would be an off-brand dog food company.
Hm… Now what’s a good name for a pet food of dubious quality?
I’m donating three fourths of my fat.
HairBun Bug is my fashion inspiration: I just picked a new pair of glasses just like hers 🙂
That was a terrible pun. I hope you’re at least a little ashamed.
I always feel ashamed.

And the irony here is that the ad at the top of the page for me is about donating blood to the Red Cross. 🙂
That’s not irony, that’s targeting!
