There’s too many individual little things I like in this strip to list them all, but here’s the top 3: Bug’s face and pose in panel 2, the severed finger in panel 3, and the whole little action scene in panel 4.
To me, this is the most consistently funny strip in a while. I love it. <3
Yup, right up there with Calvin & Hobbes, and that is high praise indeed. I’ve suffered an (almost) severed finger like in panel 3. Those dang things should come with a warning. And while I have never given anyone a shot in the ol’ pumpkin bombs, I’ve taken out a lamp or two in my day (which was quite a while ago).
Keep it up, Adam!
I was not aware that Yo-Yo’s have such a nerdy reputation. I haven’t actually seen one in years, but they were quite popular and considered “cool” when I was a teenager.
More examples of the remarkable expressiveness Adam gets into hands with just a few strokes of a pen, from the snotty cashier to the Bug she’s crushing to the poor guy getting pumpkin-bombed. And the eyes are good too, especially panel 2.
Lol, what about strangulation? When ever I go to sleep with anything string like in my bed I wake up with it wrapped around my neck, Yes yo-yo’s
are included in this ridiculously long list of things, you’d think I’d learn by now…
Off Topic:
I dare the cartoonist to do a comic on black/white race relations, using only the Bug characters. Must have at least one “black” bug and one “white” bug.
The quote Makes you a nerd amongst other nerds. LOL Doesn’t that just make a warm feeling wash over you knowing that you might be at the bottom of the nerd hierarchy . This comic has made me(and my delicate feelings) happy again.
Hahah! one of my favorites so far! love “pumpkin bombs”!
aslo, first???
*also*
LOL Nerdbug’s expression – Priceless!
So the next segment will be “Yo-Yo Injuries (UNcommon)?
Stampeded by groupies on account of how cool you look swinging that yoyo?
ah, I’ve always said we’ve been needing more chaucer
Any more and I’d be Chaucest.
That is way funnier than it should be.

I just love the deadpan remark in panel three.

I think i like the level of sophistication Cashier Girl Bug brings to the first panel.
Oh….my delicate feelings. Hahaha! :-).

Pumpkin bombs is a good term they do go off in people’s faces.
Awww, I just wanna hug poor Bug in that second panel! Leave him and his delicate feelings (my new favourite phrase) alone! 😉
i beat someone up with a yo-yo

I suppose nerd-bug had it coming. Fingers curling in pain – awesome attention to detail!

Panel 3 made me giggle out loud. I frightened my cat.

Talk about a tingling spider-sense…
Well, it doesn’t look like anybody here has yet pointed out that it must be National Day for Comics about Yo-yos That Hurt:

I just snorted my breakfast! If yesterday’s gerbil snot was funny enough, today’s pumpkin bombs were even funnier!
